
Whether or not this is a recurring mechanic throughout the campaign is anyone's guess, but if it is, players may have to take some time finding dead bodies to get through certain areas. In the trailer, the DOOM Guy grabs a corpse and slams it eyeball-first onto a retinal scanner to open a door. Overall, there's really only two new pieces of information that can be garnered from the trailer besides the game's release date.įor one, it appears as though there may be a light puzzle element when it comes to opening some doors. It reiterates the game's setting, the enemies that players can expect to battle, and some of the weapons that will be available in the campaign. There isn't a lot in the trailer that wasn't already shown in some form during DOOM's E3 2015 presentation. Watch the bloodbath ensue in the trailer below:

Instead it offers players a glimpse into DOOM's single player campaign. The new trailer doesn't focus on multiplayer or the impressive SnapMap feature, however. This includes the Demon Multiplayer Pack, which gives players a new set of demon armor to wear while battling in DOOM's online multiplayer arenas. In the meantime, those that pre-order either the Collector's Edition or the vanilla version of DOOM can look forward to bonus in-game items.
